HeyGen: our take
HeyGen creates AI videos with a personal avatar, your face and voice, without filming every video. Strengths: great for talking-head content, explainers and multilingual videos, and there's a free option to try. Weaknesses: reviewers note commercial rights aren't included on the free plan, we haven't verified current pricing, and avatar videos can feel less natural than real footage. Use it if you make regular talking-head or training videos and hate filming. Skip it if you want cinematic scenes; that's Veo or Runway territory.
Synthesia: our take
Synthesia is an AI video platform for business, best known for avatar-presented training and corporate videos. Strengths: built for companies making training, onboarding and internal comms at scale, and reviewers note it doesn't claim ownership of what you make. Weaknesses: it's more corporate than creator-friendly, and we haven't verified current pricing. Use it if you need professional training or explainer videos for a business. Skip it if you're a solo creator; HeyGen or Runway may fit better. On TierLoot it's currently B-tier in Video Generation.
