Midjourney is the long-standing favorite for artistic, stylized AI images. Strengths: its signature aesthetic and image quality for concept art, illustration and mood boards. Weaknesses: there's no free tier that we can confirm, and we couldn't verify current pricing (the site blocked our automated check). Precise text in images and exact edits aren't its strong points. Use it if you care most about beautiful, artistic visuals. Skip it if you need accurate text, logos or quick edits; try Ideogram or Nano Banana Pro.
ChatGPT Images: our take
ChatGPT Images is the image creation built into ChatGPT. Strengths: the easiest way to make and tweak images by just talking. It's on every plan, including limited use on Free, and Plus adds image generation with Thinking for more complex, accurate results. Weaknesses: limits on the free plan, and fewer pro controls than dedicated image tools. Use it if you already use ChatGPT and want quick visuals without learning a new app. Skip it if you need fine control or a signature art style; try Midjourney or Ideogram.
