Claude is Anthropic's assistant for writing, analysis, long documents and coding. Strengths: a capable free plan (web search, file creation, Artifacts, memory), natural writing, and Pro ($20/mo, or $17/mo annually) adds Claude Code, Projects, more models and research. Weaknesses: usage limits reset in five-hour windows, and the top models need paid plans. Use it if you write a lot, work with long documents or want careful reasoning. Skip it if you mainly want image or video generation; ChatGPT or Gemini cover more media.
