Bolt review (2026)
Last updated .
Our verdict
Bolt is a browser-based AI builder for websites, apps and prototypes from plain-language prompts. Strengths: very quick to get a working prototype on screen, and no setup required. Weaknesses: we haven't verified current pricing, and prompt-built apps often need cleanup before they're production-ready. Use it if you want to test an idea or mock up a site fast. Skip it if you're building something complex and long-lived; a coding agent like Claude Code or Codex gives more control. On TierLoot it's currently B-tier in Coding & Vibe Coding. Compare the alternatives below, and check the official site for current plans before you commit.
