Claude Code review (2026)
Last updated .
Our verdict
Claude Code is Anthropic's agentic coding tool: it reads your codebase, edits files and runs commands from the terminal or IDE. Strengths: it handles multi-file changes on real projects well, and it's included in every paid Claude plan, starting with Pro at $20/mo ($17/mo billed annually). Weaknesses: there's no free tier for Claude Code, usage limits reset in five-hour windows, and it's terminal-first, which can feel intimidating. Use it if you're comfortable in a terminal and want an agent that does real engineering work. Skip it if you want a point-and-click app builder; try Lovable or Replit instead.
